  • Fuel pipe fixed into fuel bottle?

How do you experienced guys get the fuel pipe fixed into your fuel bottles? I am finding that I have to take my fuel pipe with the filter on the end, and lower it into my fuel bottle, and refuel. Then, pull the pipe out, blow any excess fuel in the pipe back into the bottle, and the put the pipe, which is coated in fuel, back into my flight box... which will be messy!

I'm sure I've seen bottles with the fuel pipe fixed to the cap, and basically remains in the bottle! How do you do that? Special bottle? Special cap?

you can make your own cap, after you empty the 1st bottle make 2 holes in the Cap.

1st hole put fuel piping on it and a filter lower into the fuel

    2nd hole as a breather.

You can if you want make bungs so you don't need to remove the cap until you have used the fuel up or swap it at the start of the flying day and end of the day for transport.

It just means you need to empty the 1st gallon out and stick to that fuel although most USA gallons use the same bottles so what fits wildact will fit a magnum bottle etc

Forgot goto a local model shop and get the small brass tubing that fits inside the fuel tubing that will sit between the cap and tubing either side and where you can attach the pump tube to the tube in the bottle.

why pay for the expensive version?

You can buy a fittings set that you screw into the stock plastic cap, or you can buy a cool anodised fuel bottle cap with fittings. I can;t find them online at the moment though

Yip, I'm using the first link to the dubro fuel cap fittings. Works like a charm. I've actually made a seperate flight box for my fuel and battery. I prefer to keep it away from my radio.

The anodised ones are cool, though...
I've got a perfect flying record - I've not left one up there yet!

I have a gallon of Magnum. Will the cap in that linbk fit my bottle? Are all bottle lids the same size? And I assume we're talking about this:
