First Solo Hover

Well after seven lessons with Pete (Raptorite) using his trainer, today i took the plunge and hoverd my own raptor on my own for a tank full without a buddy lead and no traing u/c
The wind was gusting and the pitch wasnt right on the heli but its still in one peice
Just a shame we couldnt contiue with the figure of eights i started on my last lesson because the wind was just to gusty so we concentrated on takeoffs,hovering and landings.

You did well today Chippy, the wind was very gusty & with my well setup raptor 30 I was finding it very hard to maintain a constant hover so with your far from ideal setup it was quite an acomplishment.
Luckilly tomorow is going to be much better so get out there & do it mate tiz the only way to get good at this heli lark.

I reckon if i went off flying all day again tomorrow she would have me dangly bits off.

Hope you went home with yours in one peice.

Tried the charger again tonight at 1 amp and all seems fine,just warm and not hot.

Yeh mine came home in one piece but missing two of the four engine mounting bolts
Both on one side I wondered what the strange engine noise was whilst throttling up now I know
Isnt it strange tho, when you get home from a windy days flying the wind drops to nowt just as it starts to get dark
