  • Parts availability and metal...

Hi, As said in another post i'm going to buy a 400 class heli (i have an esky lama at the mo). I know that t-rex parts are very widely available but i have a fancy for a dragonus elite. Is it now possible to get parts for this easily?

I've also been considering the mini titan but i think it may be better to spend a bit more on a heli with a metal head so that it takes the bashes i will no doubt subject it to better.

So, could any Dragonus owners let me know how they get on in terms of parts availability?

Also am i making the right decision going for an upgraded kit at this stage or should i get one of the basic ones?

    Thanks

the 450se V2 is a vast improvement over previous versions of the trex and is noticably better to fly than the dragonus. Overlander distribute the dragonus. you could try ordering a bunch of the "normal" spares for the dragonus as well as some of the less normal stuff. this will give you a pretty good idea as to the availability.

You should get the align, not the Dragonus.
I read on RcAlignaddict.co.uk that the Align is much better, though I previously also read the dragonus was the best micro ever on a very similar forum, but not the same one because they all said the knight50 was the thing on that one, and here on Rcalignaddict the 600N is the best!

          Hi Ade
dont make me laugh overlander are the importers yes agree with you there but getting parts out of them is like trying to get blood out of a stone ... I have used both evolution rc web address http://www.evolutionrc.co.uk/ fast you aint seen nothing like it. and uv models all i can say is supreme service from both ... But overlander are a complete waste of time for dragonus part imho. Sorry ade

I've got a Dragonus Elite, spare parts are fairly easy to get.The Model Shop in Leeds has spares as well as the others already mentioned.Overlander do have parts, but are dearer than the retailers they supply.

I've had spares from America and Asia all within a week and about half the price of Overlander.

Base model £73.50 from the model shop in Leeds and doesn't have the tracking problems that I've seen people post about the Mini Titan. It's also about £25.00 cheaper than the Mini Titan.

I've got somewhere around 70 flights on mine now and apart from crash repairs nothing has worn out or needed replacing.
