Stupid Newbie Question

This may sound like a stupid question but do you normally get a high pitched sound(squeal) coming from the power panel when you attach the glow lead to the glow plug just before starting the engine. Ive checked the glow plug which glows fine and the DC Amperes meter reading shows ok.

Is it possible there is something wrong with my power panel.?

Its been a while since I used a power panel, but from memory they do make a funny high pitched sound. I use a glow plug adapter only charge it once a month.

Hi Rattius,

I use a ripmax power panel and it makes that same noise. It is perfectly normal- current flowing through the panel. In fact if your panel has a dial to adjust the amperes flowing to the glowplug as you turn it up the sound will get louder.
