  • Do lipo's need recharging if left for a while...

    As the title say's really.

Got a few lipo's now for the rex and my new Swift. The ones for the rex have been fully charged about two/three weeks ago.

I haven't attended or used them since because of the weather/work/family etc.

Do they need recharging again or will they be fine lift as is?

    Thanks guys
    Cheers

    Jim

Put it this way, most of the lipo manufacters ship them either 1/2 charge or full(got this info from West London Models)-they can sometimes sit on the shelf for months and unlike nicads/nimh cells-the reduction in capacity is minimal- I've still got some flightpower evo's from last year(feb) that are still new in packets and recently just checked them over-still reading over 11 volts-to answer your query regarding if they need recharging... no, providing the last charge was no more than a month ago, they'll be fine,
If in doubt, you can always put them on a maintenance charge (Schultz 330-d
has on)- don't know if yours has the same....

      Jim,
The packs will be fine for quite a while.
If it's a while again before you get to fly, all i would do is put them on your CellPro charger just to make sure they're full.
