How similar are the Mini Titan and Trex 450xl...

... from a setup point of view?

The reason I ask is that I am struggling to setup my mini titan correctly with my DX6 radio. (I am fumbling fairly around blind here.)

I have just found a link which shows the full set up for the 450xl : http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3815284/tm.htm

Obviously I would LOVE it if I could just use the above guide to make this pile of plastic and wires noob training gold; but I dont know enough to know if this would be appropriate. Are the servos placed in a similar way, and would the settings recommended be advisable?

I know this is unlikely to be a short yes/no answer, so I really appreciate the help. I am completely stuck as it is. Thanks in advance...

Yes it will help you out with setting the eccpm, the servo are fitted different on the trex than the titan but the set up eg: servo settings are the same, just take ur time

Did you buy the kit or the ARTF model,
I did, and it was a just a case of assemling the electrics, Tail and set up.
Did you buy it from a local shop, I did with mine, and once I finished I took it back to get them to check it over, (had set the ESC wrong, due to being hard of hearing, i miscounted the beeps LOL)
The blades needed balancing, which I did and I have now flown (hovered moved around) it in the garden
Keep at it, I like mine, and cant wait to get better at flying it

First up is setting the tx, then I am going to duck tape the heli to a table, and work on getting the swashplate and all the servo arms level.

If the wind dies down i hope to strap a little cam to it, and we will see. I am just setting up the head speed, have got a tacho on it, just need to get a chance to check it out.
