    Hi Guy's

Not long started in this great hobby and i'm having problem tuning my engine os 50 hyper. running it on 20% bekra with standard muffler raptor 50v2.

when i am in the hover the tail dont wag, but when i put a revlock on it wags

what are you Guy's got you needles at.

Sounds like you have the gain to high on the gyro, as when u have the gov on the head speed is faster and the tail is needing less gain instead of in normal mode the head speed is abit slower so needing more gain,

So just lower the gain abit and try it again

a revlock will cause hunting if your engine tuning is not right.
check the back plate on your engine after a flight and you should be able to hold a finger on it for about 3 seconds.
if it feels cool to the touch you are too rich, hot and your too lean
dont use the gov until you get the engine dialed in. DONT lean out too much as this will mean goodbye hyper piston!

My main needle is just over 3/4 from close and my idle needle is about 4 deg to the lean side. i can keep my finger on for about 5 second.

did you set up the throttle servo geometry as recommended in the revlock instructions?

sounds a bit lean on main at 3\4 out.
does it idle slightly rich? this affects the mid range if too lean.

thats one thing i didnt do was the geometry, i'll try that and see if that sorts it out, if i get the weather.

                that's scotland for ya

                    just over 3/4 from close
That sounds like it's running far too lean, to me.
Start with the main needle at least another half turn out (1.25 turns total) - which may still be too lean - and go from there.

My hyper main needle on my Sceadu Evo is approx 1.45 turns out and it's ballistic.
                    Cheers,
                    Rob

I was thinking way to lean too, I aways find 1.5 is a good starting point on the main and 1/2 into the rich on the low end or even having the slot facing vertical into the rich side on the low end needle.

Best to have a rough bottom end loading up on idle, that way you don't run lean in the middle.

On My Raptor 50 , running Radix 600 on a 8:7 ratio with 30% magnum that is how my needles are set. When the engine is cold you need to pinch the fuel tube for the revs to pick up or the engine will cut when throttling up.

                        Also too lean imo

Start at least two out with the main needle, reduce a couple of clicks after each flight untill the back plate is hot to touch but you can hold your finger on it,

Remenber each make of fuel has its own oil mixes although it has the same nitro % so 1- 1/2 out may be good for one but not another,

As others have said start rich and lean out slowly you will soon fined the best position for your fuel,

Some people here have had problems with their hypers and I feel sure its because they've leaned out to quick and missed the optimum position for their fuel,

mine was pretty lean between 1 1/2 and 1 3/4 turns.

hope youve run it in as they don't like to run lean too soon.
                          All the best

9252 is not a tail servo.
