Hi Folks
Luck is not on my side. After taking 3 shipments from the supplier for the correct version and all the parts for my RevLock 10 to arrive, I now seem to be having troubles getting the sensor to pick up the magnet.
Okay, so here's what I've done. I've glued the magnet and brass weight into the moulded holes in the base of the fan that came with my Raptor 50 Titan. I've connected everything and been through the throttle calibration routine successfully. Because I set it into 'digital servo' mode, I'm happy that I've got the servo plugs in the correct way, and I'm also happy that the all the various cables are plugged into the right place in the unit.
I'm now trying to get the sensor to pick up the magnet. I've mounted the bracket to the motor and used the supplied heat-shrink to set the sensor so that the magnet passes directly over the sensor and that the gap is less than 2mm - probably closer to .4 mm, but not touching. I then fired up the device and used my starter to turn the motor over. The 'Sensor OK' light kept on flashing, which my manual says that means the sensors not picking up the magnet.
I've dropped the engine from the frame and removed the heat shrink holding the sensor in place. I then manualy tried just about every possible position and orientation of the sensor in relation to the magnet, each time turning the fan clock-wise and counter-clockwise so that the magnet moved rapidly over the sensor. Still, the 'Sensor OK' flight continued to flash, telling me that the Sensor was not OK.
Any ideas, please? I'm desperate to get this thing working for the bank holiday weekend.
Thank you
Andrew
