  • which heli do I buy

hello there great to finally get onto this great website, Im a VIRGIN in the world of helis and I hope some of you regulars can help me out.

Like most hard working people in this country ive been saveing up for a new electric heli, because im new to the hobbie, people have told me different things, basically which electric heli is the best to buy, I like the mini titan e325 but a friend of mine who is also getting into the hobbie likes the t-rex 600 and 450. which one is the best to start off with and which one is easier to get spares for, I do understand that the t-rex has been round for some time now. also can you guys recogmend a decent remote

do you guys know of any decent rc shops in london, Ive got a few rc cars that I often get spares from at Hamleys but they are so expensive. would you recogmend me getting insurance or is that not neccessary. Oh with this kind of hobbie is it better to join a club or is it just practice makes perfect. well I hope someone out there can help me out, I hope to maybe find someone who lives in london and could maybe give me a few tips or possibly even invite me to see them fly some time and help me out. thats what its all about helping out others

hope to hear from someone soon
    cheers

where abouts in london are you?

strongly recomend joining a club no matter what you fly. somewhere safe to fly and plenty of help to get you going.

electric is ok but its a big initial expense and still a very young technology which is starting to come of age. If your flying at a proper club it might be worth looking at a nitro. Some people make a big thing of the mess and tuning but its really not that hard with some help from an experienced pilot which you will need to get the heli setup properly anyway.

    whats your budget?

hello thanks so much for your advice, im based down in wandsworth london sw. ive got a budget of around 5-7oo pounds, So why you recon nitro is better, I had the impression that Nitro was not as good as electric when it comes to 3d (feul problems) or is that total rubbish. Ive had alook at some videos of electric helis and I was really impressed, Oh ive been down to brentford rc and the shop recons they can provide me with a mini titan for 500 pounds with a remote. so do you know of any places around london where i can possibly go watch some experienced pilots. thanks for all your help
      god bless
