I play a lot of league Pool, and have done for many years. About 5 years ago, we (my team) started uping our game a bit and decided to have a go at super-league, and then from that, a couple of us started playing for the county, and from that we started to enter into some of the big-money national competitions and even the trials for the world championships.
I've always suffered from the shakes when playing for a team, but never when playing for myself as in a singles cup. When I play for my team, I'm playing for 9 other blokes, not just myself.
Anyway, what I found was that as I stepped up to the next level, say from local league to super-league, the shakes moved up with the level. i.e. I stopped getting them at local level, but got them bad at super league. Then, when we stepped up from super-league to county, so the shakes moved up to the next level as well. The good side to this is that my ability and confidence in th elower levels just went through the roof, because I was so much more relaxed and at the same time focused around the table.
I think my point is, why not get a bigger and more expensive heli, but don't go mad with it, as you'll undoubtedly get the shakes. Just hover it around within your comfort zone. If it were me, this would make flying the little one a breeze.
I suffer from this now to an extent with my helis. The one heli that I am most comfortable with, and the one which I always use for trying something new, or something daring is the oldest, least important one. it's more than capable (a Sceadu 50 Hyper) of anything I can thrown at it, but because I have several other helis to choose from - all either newer or more expensive, it's just the most relaxing and comfortable one to fly.
Just my thoughts, if somewhat long-winded!
