  • 285mm blades ok for t-rex 450xl???

    need some new blades for my t-rex and came across these 285mm blades on e-bay would they do for my t-rex??? hovering around garden no fancy moves.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Walkera-36-Tre...QQcmdZViewItem

    I would suggest not, as they're a bit too small.
    You want 305 to 325 size blades.

      I have used 285mm before on the X400 helis, so I see no issues with using them on a Trex 450.

      I think the standard size blades in the X400 kit was 280mm. Also I beleave the Rex 450 is a little heavier so don't expect blinding performance with the 285's

        They're small and the Trex is heavier, I'm not sure they will perform very well at all on a rex?
        You never know, of course, but I wouldn't bother personally

          I was comparing the weight with an SE and a full alu X400, I would of thought the XL was plastic and a tad lighter but i could be wrong????

          I use to have both and the difference was not that big in weight, when I transfered the electrics into the SE (inc AON 3400 motor) there was not much difference in performance but the added weight of the SE made it more stable

          The guy only wants them hover around with so i think they are use able but like you said there is better.
