Having now got my sons mini Pred flying,thanks to club members doing the final setups.I now find that there are only 2 versions of this Heli. available with different crystals.
Why a different make of crystals dont work no one seems to know.

So it looks like to get any flying indoors/out we're going to have to use the Futaba I got and replace the Rx on the Heli.

It may be a cheap package but it flies quite well but like all these things Buyer Beware.

I believe somewhere I read burning Century, well I wont go that far but I wont be buying Century again.

I've seen around a dozen Mini Preds and they have all been on the same channel, 70 I think. I tried to help a guy who turned up at our field with one but unfortunately helis are restricted to 81 to 90 so we tried Futaba & JR crystals but no luck. I told the guy to speak to Century to see if alternative crystals were available but he hasn't turned up since........

I guess they must have a huge job lot of 70 crystals, bummer

The club designates each flyer a chn. so there are few conflicts.Until you get a mini pred.


Hi Peter.

Currently we only have 2 different frequencies available for the Mini Pred,
this is down to the supplier and we are trying to get more channel numbers.

At the moment they are 35.100 (ch 70) and 35.150 (ch 75).

I was at an indoor meet just before christmas and there were 4 Mini Preds, glad I wasn't on 70
