I have exactly the same combo apart from a JR PCM 10SX II radio.
I bought a synthesized JR 7 channel Rx for the 450S, works really nice.

In your case, I would say it would work perfectly with a Futaba 138DF or 138DP Rx.

    Cheers,
    Robin.

I recommend using a DSP based receiver on the Trex450.
I use a Hyperion one currently, although they no longer box up this particular reciever. It's out under a different name now with Sexta on the box. It's the exact same receiver though and works very well.

      I bought mine from robotbirds.

Yes, it's fine with the FF9.
I use the same thing on my FF7 - no problems at all.
Make sure you purchase the crystal (mini one) with it on your correct channel number.

          Cheers,

I'd go for the JR RS70 synthesized receiver....£35 aint bad at all....its what I use and have never had a glitch so far, even though it is PPM.

I recently bought one of these for a Twister 3D, its a great little receiver, and being synthesised doesnt need a crystal. Well pleased with mine, (Thanks to Cossie for that)

That'll work well with a JR Tx.
The OP has a FF9 however

Are you saying that the JR RS70 synthesised receiver works with a Futaba Tx?
                    Cheers,

                      seems to with mine......

as it is PPM they all intermatch with each other......JR, Futaba, Sanwa, Hitec, they will all work on whatever you decide......its only when you come to PCM that you generally need the same manufacturer.

please correct me if anyone has had any problems but as far as I know htis info is correct

I am a little stunned to hear this
The positive - negative shift issues that exist between Futaba and JR radio systems has usually meant they cannot be used interchangeably.
I have previously read of some people having success using Futaba receivers with JR radios, but not the other way around - and even that still baffles me (again, down to the shift issue).

Rambo, do you use a FF9 with this JR RS70 synth receiver?
                          Cheers,

                              LOL
I know channels 1 and 3 are reversed
I haven't tried to work the RS70 with a Futaba radio because I believed it simply did not work (being a JR Futaba thing...).
If thats not the case, I'd like to know for certain
                              Cheers,
