  • E flite cx3 md520

    Good morning all...,

E flite cx3 co axial heli..... are they any good...? they look to have a good spec but does that translate into its flight capabilities...? Im thinking of getting one to learn the basics on without running up the costs with the learning process with a cp 450 heli

As always, any feed back is gratefully received...

    thanks

I have one - they're fairly big for indoor use, but flies well, nice and stable. The landing gear is very flimsy however, so you'll need a spare set or two, plus a spare set of upper and lower blades...

I found the Blade MSR a better indoor heli. Opinion seems to be divided as to whether co-ax or fixed pitch is better to learn on...But I much prefer flying the MSR to the CX3.

      cx3

Thanks mate.., i was looking for a good starter heli and i want to get into scale flyin eventually.... i was thinking of the CX3 as its e-flite so its well made and parts are readily available. I was thinking of slipping it into a nice Align 250 size fuse... that would make it a little bigger ( not much in it ) and it would be stronger, and look nicer too......

The MSR is a lovely heli just too small for me im affraid....

P.S. You can get a CX3 BNF from Daniel for £50

E-Flite Blade CX3 MD 520N BNF Helicopter - Helicopters - Radio Control Models - Daniel Stores - Daniel Stores Windsor

Get two - cheap way of havnig a second battery AND a complete set of spares - certainly you will find yourself changing the landing gear and the blades before long. The receiver you can keep for your next build (AR6100e).

Flight time is not great considering it takes ages to charge the batteries...
