  • Italian Heli Source Woes!

Hi All, I'm new to the forum and just after an opinion. I've currently got an Esky dauphin (counter rotating blades) and have been happily getting my head around keeping it airborn and under control. However I'm starting to look for an upgrade and my dilema is this: I live and work on a yacht based in Italy and have a limited supply of models available to me locally. The local shop sells Esky, which I gather from what I've read on the board isn't held in high regard by the majority of forum members. Now I would just disregard this and order online except that from my experience the Italian postal service is dismal at best. I'm still waiting for dive gear I ordered from Holland 6 weeks ago. Add to that our mail is recieved by an agent which adds about a week to this process. This all but destroys the mail order option for parts even if I did wait it out for the initial purchase.

Having read up on the Esky range I was looking at a Belt CP. As the locally available product is it worth the purchase or am I just doing my dough?

    Thanks in advance.

The belt cp is a decent heli once you have gone thu it setting it up properly ( the standard tx is crap tho), its not in the same league as a trex 450 but if you carnt get parts for a trex locally then that option is out.

EDIT: you would need to get a better gyro and tail servo aswell

Is there any improvement in the V2 (Tx, gyro or tail servo?)

the belt cp v2 still needs better tx gyro and tail servo. the gyro and tail servo are a definate, you could use the original tx but after a few weeks you want a dx7 or similar (also need an rx if upgrading to 2.4)

              Thanks Guys.

I might look at buying the V1 which I can get a bit cheaper and then think about a gyro upgrade. The price of the V1 and a new gyro is about the same over here as a V2 at the moment any way.

Back to the sim in the meantime!
