  • Jr 3810

Hi all, I have a chance of a JR3810 radio set as part of a 2nd hand deal but I am unable to find any decent info on the tx. Is the JR3810 a decent set that I will find easy to use / set up as a novice? The seller states it is in excellent condition but was bought a few years ago.Any info at all would be appreciated.

the 3810 is pretty good radio. a little out of date so its governor support isnt great. As long as its cheap its worth buying.

a Futaba FF7 is fairly similar spec at 150ukp new.

Ade, thanks for the response. £350 for raptor 30, jr3810 radio and all gear needed with only 4 hours flying time. It sounds good to me but i'm not really too sure what i'm looking at. Will I have any frequency problems with this set as the ff7 and jr2610 all seem to have far more?

      Thanks.

all 3 radios can do the 35 frequencies we have been allocated.

what gyro and servos does this raptor 30 come with?

Ade, comes with standard rx and 3810 servo's with an upgraded tail rotor servo. Not sure of the type though.

Ade, sorry for the delay. The gyro is a CSM ICG 400, 4 x JR DS811 digital servo's and a Futaba S3001 for the tair rotor.

                not a bad deal,

i would hold out for a raptor/sceadu/knight with a 7 channel or more tx, OS engine and futaba 401/9254 tho.

                they come up quite often

This sounds like a potential eBay purchase.

Don't forget to check out the classifieds on this site, and those on the BMFA site.

Guys, thanks for the advice. I have now bought the £350 one and i'm the proud owner of Raptor heli at last. Taking to my local club on Sat (Plymouth Helis) to get it set up and start to (try) and get to grips with it, weather permitting.
As a newbie, will I ever get used to all the termination and actually understand half of what I read??
                        Cheers,

                        Mark.
