  • Main blade pitch control

    Hi all,

    Can I please clarify the theory behind the main blade pitch control?

    I am assuming that;

    Greater pitch (steep angle) = more lift but less manoeuvrability
    Less pitch (blades almost horizontal) = less lift but more manoeuvrability

    As I'm learning is there a recommended setting to leave the blades at as I don't want to run before I can walk?

    Thanks in advance.

    CP is a constant speed thing. the headspeed should stay the same and you adjust the collective pitch to control your height.

    set the headspeed to whatever the model runs best at (mainly down to the motor) then use the pitch to give you the control.
