did you carefully close the clutch shoes? they have probably spread.

once you have it down to a couple of high spots just run the engine at a high idle to run it in a bit.

Please be patient, I'm new to helis

Are the clutch liners and clutch's themselves generic or do you need to buy one specifically for your heli?

Its my first cluth replacement so i went for the thunder tiger raptor replacement! Yuo find that many other companies such as Heli taiwan will also do liners suitable for most helis

I have a Hirobo "shuttle" - fairly old now. I haven't burnt the clutch out...yet, but I would like a few spares so I'm not grounded for long periods of time while I'm learning.

as long as the length and thickness is right you can use any liner you want. if its longer you cut it down. thickness is a bit harder tho

to be honest i just buy a bell. unless you get the liner in there perfectly it will act up for a while until it beds in.

And if you do burn out your clutch, then the shoes could well be knackerd as the excess heat tends to make the spring go in them...
