Flaring on landing advice from the gurus PLs

Flaring on landing advice from the gurus please

I am going to practice this tonight and there is a little wind 3/4 miles an hour.

Do you flare into the wind and wont this dramatically increase height or do you flare just to stop forward momentum, then hover and land. I will be practicing much higher then ground level until I get a good feel for this.

Also Should I practise autos with a T-rex in case of the engine fails how?
