  • Sceadu?? i've no clue??

Hi to all, Is there any1 out there that can stop me going bald? I've just bought a 50 scale with with sceadu 50 mech and jr servos through out. I installed a jr 700 receiver connected it all up and everything works fine but the elevator??? I push forwards, heli travels back wards? Push backwards, heli gose forwards? Reverse the servo i hear you say.. On doing that it throws everything out? It's a 120 swash plate so the AIL,ELEV,PITCH have to work together i've stripped it countless times only to come back to the same problem?? it's got to be a simple problem that i just can't see. I'm pulling my hair out with this so has any1 had the same problem? please help!

If one of the servos is not working the right way then you may need to change the swash AFR from + to - or visa versa

I have a 2610 setup in ccpm 120 mode. On the ccpm screen my settings are as follows - aileron reversed, elevator reversed, pitch normal. All at +70%.

& on the servo reversing switch screen,

          throttle - N
          aileron - R
          elevator - R
          rudder - R
          gear - R
          pitch - N

          Hope this helps a little

            Steve,

Dont know what radio you have but I use the Hi-tec optic 6 radio.
If I had the problem you have it is very easily sorted, and this is what I'd have to do....

Leave the reverse switches alone and stick with the forwards is backwards scenario as the servo's are operating in the right sense and they are not the problem.

Cycle through the menu's on the transmitter until I get the SWASH menu.
This menu will show 3 active channels for CCPM 120 Swashplate.

Each channel will have a value. For example, mine are set at +70% or -70% by default, depending on the channel.
I then find the channel that relates to the pitch operation of the servos and make the -70% into a +70%. This would reverse the sense and make things the right way round again!
If you are not sure which channel does what then try them all. Reducing or increasing the % value ( Using the + and - buttons) as you move the stick forwards and backwards will have a noticeable effect on the swashplate pitch movement, so You'll pretty much know straight away if you're on the right track.

Hope this is of some help!!

                Wouldnt be so rude mate!
                It is baffling isnt it.

Do you know how to enter the menus on your TX for programming mode?
I'm sorry I cant help with your radio as I'm unfamiliar with it..
The example I gave was a 'How to' regarding the Optic 6 TX, which may or may not be similar...

Haha its fine, I meant I wouldnt be so rude as to call you stupid! Sorry if it came across wrong...

It'll either be channel 1,2 or 6 mate.

Just check if each of these channels in the swash menu is a plus or a minus value. ie +70% or -70%. It could be any number from 1-100, 70% is my TX default setting thats all.

Reduce or increase each one in turn until it hits zero, it will then change to a plus or minus, and see if it makes a difference. If it doesnt, change it back.

I'm sorry if this is confusing, I'm doing my best to put it into words!!!

Just seen gazza's post, I'm sure jr radios need the front 2 servo's to be plugged into 2 & 3 with the back (elevator servo) in channel 6

Sorry mate didnt mean to confuse things, I just assumed the channel assignment was the same for all radios-ie, CH3 always being throttle.

Throttle is channel 1 with a JR, least it is on my heli's so I presume this is standard with JR.
