Twister 3D setup

Just purchased a twister 3D after learning to hover on a friends CP.
Can anyone advise on setup, pushrod lenght etc as i'm still a novice at the mechanical stuff

Ah....

Well out of the box the push rods are a bit to long they want turning down
about 4 turns. So your left with 3 threads showing. That will give you the
pitch required.

Rember the swash plate moves down to give positive pitch!

What transmitter/gyro do you have?

The box lies about being test flown

I have Futaba 401 gyro and FF9 tranny

Hi I love my Twister3D
To get your 401 setup the best, you need to get your tail setup mechanically. So fly it with heading hold off and adjust the rotor tail link till it hovers with vertually no drift, and no trim adjustment on your TX.
Then when you turn on your HH it should be rock solid. well it worked for me, just a bit of patients is the key. as for pitch I found it needed a little bit more + pitch than recommended.

To be honest i dont know where to start setting up my Twister 3D. i've flown fixed wing for years and played with my mates Twister CP but dont realy no much about how to set up the linkages and program my Futaba FF9 for a heli as this was all done on the CP. The instructions with the 3D are total C**P. Any good web sites or downloads available ???????????

FF9 set the tranny to Heli swash 3
after that dont touch the tail make sure you follow the 401 gyro instructions.

ill try and what channel goes to what servo Tuesday as its sat in the Garage....

As the instructions say its meant for people that have expereince of CCPM for
setting up.

Im beggining to think it was a mistake to buy the twister 3D.......maybe should have gone for something easyer.

okay, Twister 3D push rod lengths er.. just screw them in abit equally!

front right servo channel 2
back right servo channel 1
back left servo channel 6

swash 3 for Futaba radios Leave the pitch/throttle curves alone until you
ready to whizz around.

Just sold my Twister 3D.... had to cash shortage and I jsut spent 50 pounds putting it right :/

I phoned JP Distrubution and they gave me a number of their Twister 3D guy who will help..........Haven't contacted him yet but im happy again he he he

I set one up a couple of weeks ago and I am about to do another one tomorrow, so if you need any help or advice let me know.
