Went out with the Raptor tonight, had a mixed night, good start despite quite a lot of wind, I felt comfortable and in no danger.
Landed, refuelled an was about to go up again, when I noticed the exhaust was a little loose, this seems to be a persistant problem, but I tightened it up, and carried on, next minute the exhaust note goes balistic, I land to find the silencer has almost fallen off the engine. after refixing this I continued until the fuel was low,
on landing I noticed to my horror that the exhaust had turned, directed the discharge directly onto the plastic skid, and had melted it at least 1/2 way through, the skid was visably weak, and i am sure after another short time in the air would have seen a failure, which almost certainly would have resulted in a crash on landing.
Can tsay I am impressed with this, but I have ordered a replacement silencer, One Piece, and will fit this, and see what the mporters ahve to say about the skid.
Happy Flying
