  • Twister ESC

Having recently dumped the Twister into the ground, I am now nearly at the end of the minor rebuld required,
Having set up the servos mid stick, I have now reconnected the motor so I can set up the blades and pitch.
I have a small problem, when I connect the battery pack the ESC bleeps once to indicate "brake on", but I cannot get it to arm,
have checked settings on the radio, but cant seem to get it to arm
    any suggestions anyone.
ESC is the 25a Twister one for the heli
    Batts are 1500mah Li-pos
    Receivre is Sanwa RX831 PPM
Radio is Sanwa RD6000 Sport, set up for CCPM

    Many thanks

Funny enough I have set one of these up today. This one is the Twister 3d Expert version with the brushless motor and 3s1p li-po. All other components are standard, including the airtrix heading hold gyro.

I have been through the setup of the same esc, it would appear that if you get 2 clicks instead of 1, that would indicate the brake is on. To change it to off, before you plug the battery into the esc, set the throttle stick on the tx to full throttle, then plug in the battery, you should hear the 2 clicks again, then move the stick down to low, then you should hear the 1 click indicating the brake is off.

What I did when setting up everything apart from the throttle on the model was just to disconnect the motor, as it doesnt matter what the speed controller is doing while you setup the cyclics, tail and pitch.

    Cheers,
    Pete.

      UHHHH

      I Blame the heat,
Having rechecked it, it would appear that if you connect the ESC to the wrong receiver channel, it wont work, funny that eh.

All corrected, just got to check pitch etc.
Hopefully back in the air tonight

      Happy Flying
