Vibration made it drop like a brick

Hello today i was flying my raptor 30 and god dam good for a change, ( i fly with training under carriage on) When all of a sudden the training under carriage started to vibrate sending it straight through the heli.
This seemed to cut the power to the engine not stopping it but slowing it to a point where the heli dropped like a brick.

I swear to god about 4ft off the ground it caught again and with 6" to impact it just went into hover.
The guys behind watching said the training legs just sent like shock waves through the heli.

After i checked the heli over and set off again it was fine for a while then same again only this time as soon as it started to get a vibration in the training under carriage i applied more power and it stopped as quick as it started.

This is harmonic vibration from the training legs.

Soon as you lose the undercarriage it should go away.

If you can cut the leg's of the training gear just a little shorter and play around with the headspeed. As Mark has said, in a nutshell every heli vibrates no matter how much dialling of engines and balancing this that and the other the heli will generate a vibration. Your training gear is picking this up and its being amplified hence your heli starts to look like its doing a chicken dance in the air.

If your hovers solid and confident at tail in, I'd drop the training gear, otherwise chop away.

I had a training aid on my Baron 30, this flew fine, when I fitted them to my new Raptor 30, it shook like crazy, as has been suggested, I cut 100mm of the length of the legs, hey-presto all ok, happy to say I now fly without the trainer, so not a problem anymore
