  • PPM and CCPM.

    Hia everybody,

My name is Eirik a Norwegian living in Aberdeen, Scotland. I'm new to RC helicopter, but I have had RC as a hobby since I was 15 years old (mainly sailplanes). I have a Honey Bee CP2 that I'm trying to get of the ground and keep it there for at least a minute, but it seems quite hard. I'm now training in FMS to get a little bit better eye hand coordination.

    Enough about me for now.

Can one of you tell me the difference between PPM and CCPM?

    Thanks
    Cheers

CCCPM - Combined Collective and Cyclic Pitch Mechanism - uses 3 (or 4) servos all together in a mix to control the pitch as well as the cyclic inputs.

PPM - usually refers to transmitting modes, but I guess you mean the other type of swash plate control (Hirobo call it HPM - Hirobo Pitch Mechanism) where one servo typically does the pitch, one does the elevator and another does the aileron inputs. Each servo does just one thing and they are generally not mixed together.
