  • Heli body/canopy colours?

    Hi all
I've got a stock Raptor 50 V2 with the dubious pink sticker set on it and have been looking into getting a new body/canopy or a sticker set for it.

What are peoples thoughts on colour schemes etc? I would like to to look good but I would mainly like to know what's best for telling which way it's pointing!!

    Cheers

    Hi

A mate of mine has painted the left hand side of his Shuttle Red and the right hand side green.

Helps him a lot as he has a boat. Looks quite cool.

He wants to do the same to the skids so that he can see if the Heli is leaning towards or away from him.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

That's a cracking idea... except I am colour-blind and red and green often look the same

      Maybe blue/yellow for me
Just how many hours stick-twiddling do you have to put in before you can justify buying the Breitling ?

........ in that case remember that if the tail is left of the main shaft then you are looking at the right side of the heli

The actual direction (left or right) isn't the problem as such. The problem for me is when the tail is at approx 2 and 10 o'clock (12 being tail away from pilot). I kind of loose the plot a bit and sometimes have to spin the tail back into the "comfort zone" !!

Thanks Thomas. I think I'll try flying around with the heli pointing in the problem direction and then see if I can fly slower and slower until I can hover in that orientation. One to practise on the sim first I think

                Guys,

I am looking at painting a Predator canopy as I have 2...

I am thinking top Black, Middle Yellow, Bottom black.....

As they do seem to stand out quite well.

Currently just flying around a white Heli no markings either side, But
in duskylight it can be a problem....

I have a dark coloured canopy, and find that it tends to blend with the frame etc when in certain orientations, I am going for lighter clours and different either side to help.
