  • Metal Flybar Control rod

    Hi Folks,

Anybody used a metal flybar control rod ?
The control rod has a female thread on both ends but the Ball links have no thread.
Do you just screw the ball links in or am i missing something ?

    Cheers,

your supposed to screw the eyes into the holes and put a screw in from the back.

I never have used them, they are a nice weak link in the chain to help stop you breaking other stuff like servo gears.

Probably safer sticking with stock Raptor ones then ?

Definately stick with the stock plastic ones, for two reasons, as Ade says, they are a weak link, therefore will break in a crash, and potentially save stuff that's more expensive to replace. And the metal ones rub against other head bits and wear themselves and other bits away, the plastic ones probably also rub, but the effect is unnoticable, unlike with the metal version.

I always carry a few spares of these, and the short double links

Hey Ade, I just when with the "flow" on this question, but you're a mind reader , how in hell did you make the original association of the original question and the Rotor head "hoops"
