  • Heli cleaning/lubrication?

    Hi,
Flew 4 batteries through my mini titan this afternoon, and as im flying off a wet muddy field edge, the heli is now spattered with mud, snow, leaves, grass etc, as it covers itself in debris every take off and landing. This got me wondering, what do people use to clean their helis, it is super fiddly without stripping it down. And is it advisable to lubricate any areas on the heli, and if so, with what? Thinking of small electric helis really.
    Cheers.

I use a spot of Robbe metal-to-metal oil on the bearings and swash.

I use the same as Phil, plus on the belt (if you have one) I use a silicon lube (Halfrauds or similar).

I use wet wipes to clean all my heli's - you can get a 5 pack from Tesco for less than a fiver.

Do not lubricate your ball links!

Yeah, ive tried that. Always forget to bring it though! And at the moment, some landings are a touch 'hurried', if i lose orientation, it gets turned tail in and landed wherever it happens to be at the time...!
