Brother in law got bored and bought a Dragonfly coax jobby from Maplins and we have had a right giggle with it . £30 and it crashes well lol . Canopy is now held together with tape but otherwise its great . Its been on the roof , up a tree and into the floor a good ten times .
This inspired us to dig out the junk heap one he bought from a pc show about 12 months ago that went up and in the first time he tried it .
Thanks to everything Ive read in here and 20 mins of fiddling which tightened the lower spans blades to the shaft properly and balancing the flybar that had a weight missing hence it crashed on the first charge .
We got it up and for a cheap toy it held up fantastically really stable . Then and I kid you not the sodding thing got caught in a mini whirlwind that shot across the field . Down it came in a tangle of blades upside down .
Its now distinctly unwell lol . Main shaft has a hell of a bend in it and the lower blades are loose on the shaft snd cant be tightened .
But hell we are learning . We managed to fix it in the first place
So we have re-knackered one and maimed a 2nd .
Who fancies lending me a Trex ?
