  • head locking gyro

Firstly thanks for the advice on my other questions.
    1. I have limited knowledge of gyros and would like to know if there is a head locking gyro that could be used on the zoom 400.
    2. Which one should I use?
    3. If yes then would that help a beginner flyer like me or would it be a waste.
    Any advice??
    Thanks.Ryno

    1, yes there are several
    2, see below
3, it will help a lot as if the gyro is waiving around it will upset the dynamics of the rest of the model.

my personal favorite is the gy240, its not cheap but is easy to setup and works well.

if however you are looking to move on to bigger helis then its worth getting a futaba gy401 as it will work better with bigger models and supports digital servos.

Spend the money on a GY401. As a beginner you will struggle enough without the help of the gyro.

Depends if you want to take advantage of the 401's digital ability. I am using a multiplex polo 4 digi on my x400 but you might think this is a little large - here's a link for it - http://www.servoshop.co.uk/index.php?pid=MULTIPOLO

As you can see its quick which is what you require but a bit pricey.

Theres also the HDS877 digital which is smaller and half the weight but a tiny bit slower, again here's a link http://ashtekelectronics.com/store/h...rvo-p-224.html

10 less than the multiplex aswell and there are several people on the forums who are using them without problems.

            All the best.
