  • Servo fitting probs?

Soon I hope to replace my HT55's to 65MG's, with the 55's they have one tapping screw on top bottom, however the 65MG's have two either end.

The CCPM compartment for servos on my 450 as the usual room for three, but all three compartment have only one per drilled hole so to secure twin screwed servos and not those fitted with four.

How do I get round this when the time arrives for better servos?

    Thanks

Of course, a brilliant and simple solution, I never thought of that, just one more Q, are the 65's my much wider than the 55's, as space in the servo compartments have a little room to offer right now, about 2mm each side of each 55?

      Thanks

I think I had to ease the holes slightly with a file to get the 65's in

In order not to try and put it into words have a look at finless bob's video on fitting the HS65MG on helifreak. He does say the openings may need to be filed and he shows the best way to drill the lugs in his video on fitting the HS 56 servo. You will need to register on the site to see the videos, if you have not already done so. I hope the videos will help you.

Thank you Andy, I'll do that mate.

If it ends up too much grief I'll just get the HS45HB Feather Karbonite Geared Servo Hi Tec make, there be stronger then what I've already got by a long margin, without the hassle.

hi wayne, the 65s are the best for the job so its worth messing around a bit ,the servos are the same size as the hole but the wires mean that you cant push the servo straight in so it has to go at an angle but at an angle one corner of the servo will catch file this corner a little or the frame which ever is easiest

Oh I see mate, OK that doesn't sound too bad, yea I know there the best ones for the money, I guess it's just me and an easier life, lol, I guess I've learned a lot more tricky stuff to do on her then some gentle filing so wires fit better.

                      Cheers Bro'.
