After a large time (6/7yrs) away from the scene I decided I was fed up with looking at my heli's sitting on a shelf. First step was to get phoenix up and running only to find out I've got no rudder control even after calibrating my dx6i. My other radio was not compatible back in the day, but after a little research i find that the clever peeps out there have now made a work round via wireless (simstick) which has now been ordered. I feel like I'm starting all over again having forgotten almost everything I knew from the building and setting up side.

Hi Boggy, Don't I just know it. The forum seems to be a lot quieter. Started heli's up yesterday just wish I had continued flying, if I had I might be able to say I can fly a heli by now.....Originally posted by Boggy View PostWelcome back Dan.Don't worry about anything you have forgotten, it's a completely different world now

Welcome back Dan.
I too am trying to reinvigorate my flying. I have thought to myself - either fly the bloody things or sell up. But as helis don't sell for much I may as well try flying them.
Now, which is the pointy end???Happy Landings.

No, the tail (yaw) gyro is built into the flybarless controller. That's the biggest change you will see, pretty much everything is flybarless now.Originally posted by carpman View PostWhat are they using now to keep tail in check ? Not currently flying unless you call the sim flying lol. Heli's doing a few wierd things when spooled up the other day, need to refresh memory on setting them up and radio settings. I have just purchased the DX8g2 for spare channel to use with some sort of protection / help if i get in any kind of fcuk up (seems to be a fare amount out there now).Originally posted by brin View PostWelcome back Dan .Where are you flying.
