I've not owned an Oxy3 and while I can see that it's a superb quality piece of kit it cant escape the basic laws of physics which dictate that (all other things being equal) bigger helis are easier to see plus with their greater weight comes greater inertia making them less effected by wind, less 'twitchy' and more 'stable'?

Also with the top quality and 'niche appeal' comes cost, the Oxy3 will likely be more expensive to build and to maintain/repair.

I read the first page, a couple say that they prefer it to the Trex 450L, but not specifically because it's more stable or easier to fly? More to the point, the 450L doesn't represent all 450's, in fact one of the posters who preferred the Oxy3 to the 450L says in a few posts later that he'd take a Gaui X3 over the Oxy3 any time. A lot of it's subjective but the general rule that 'bigger flies better' is usually right in my experience.

I'm with Kenny on the OXY 3 being an exception here. I've spent all this season trying to get my Goblin 380 KSE to fly as well as my OXY 3 does. If I'm honest the G380 has been a little disappointing as a slightly "bigger" heli experience. Not that it doesn't fly well (after loads of tuning), it's just that my OXY 3 matches it in nearly every respect and is more convenient to carry around. The OXY 3 has been the ultimate low maintenance trainer for me and most definitely the best purchase I've ever made in this hobby. It's not at all "twitchy" or "nervous" to fly and actually instills loads of confidence. It has none of the drawbacks of a typical micro and I've had plenty of those to compare.
