  • Upgrading to a heli

Hi i'm new to flying heli's but i have been flying quads now for almost a year. I found a Century Raven 50nx air frame at a car boot that had never flown so over the last 4-6 months I have collected the parts to Finnish building it.I also converted it to electric and am useing a Turnigy I10 transmiter. turnigy 12kg digital servo's and an ICE 150 amp esc. The question I have is where near Bristol can I be taught to fly it without killing me or anyone else. All reply's would be much appreciated. Yours Simon

Hey Simon welcome to the forum. Nice you see moving to a heli is a step up. Check out the local clubs, not sure if Paul Heckles still teaches but thats another option

Hi - Welcome to the forum. You can find RC flying lessons if you look around, but you might want to just consider getting yourself a small, ready-to-fly beginner heli first to learn on, then move on to the Raven when you're ready.

Something like the Blade 200SRX or 120S are good beginner models. Check the beginner threads on here - there's plenty of discussions on these and other models.
