how do you clean motors?

hi guys, all ive got is wd40, can i just spray that inside the motors?

Compressed air would be better, wd40 is flammable.

its not as powerful so think it might need a clean

Almost all heli motors these days are brushless - which means that they dont make any dust from the brushes, or get dirty.

you may have worn bearings, which increase friction, making things less efficient.

What motor/heli is it?

its a quadcopter, a cheerson cx-20
