Hello all
Thanks for all your help over this past year all been very help full.
So her goes putting batterys in to storage charged mode.How long can they stay in that state and do I need to check them over once a week to see if they are ok.
I have just got 6 pack from HK but wont use till next year.

The self discharge rate on LiPos is extremely low so you can put them away for a long time without any intervention. If they are stored longer than 6 months it might be an idea to check that the voltage hasn't dropped too much using a LiPo checker, but to be honest I've had batteries stored well over a year and I've never looked at them once.

The important thing is to keep at storage charge and keep them in a cool place. If storing long term i put mine in a sealed container and put in the fridge.

Hey there dean, if they are new packs then just leave them in their boxes as the shops do. Put em in Your cupboard with the others and get them out when you need them.
just check all the cell voltages are equal with your checker first incase you got a dud!

I always store mine around 3.8-3.85V per cell in room temp 19-21deg (sometimes heating is off so can reach down to 5-10deg) for many months thru winter without checking till approx April the following year. Last year none of my lipos dropped under 3.8v after 5 months. 3-4 years now with no problems.

As Paul say's Dean,
check the voltages & if ok, put them back in their boxes and put them away till your ready to use them.
I would advise getting an Ammo box from the surplus store and then store them in that.
