  • New to forum - hi, hope you lot are nice lol

    Hi there,

just a few lines to introduce myself and stuff:

Im looking for a new helicopter after getting frustrated with my £35 2CH plastic pig

Budget will not exceed £200 and that'll need to be RTR (or is that RTF lol), so im looking through the classifieds and learning whats what - ALL help very welcomed - honestly i know jack about who makes what :S

Im a big nitro truggy user and have a HoBao Hyper ST - but i want an electric chopper.

My other hobby is playing with my 1:1scale car [hi to any other Volvo heads!]

    So in summary:

if you want to poke fun at the green boy or pass on some buying advice then please send it this way eh

Oh, have bought a simulator so will be getting stuck into that in the next couple of days!

    ================
    Now with
    -

    -

    welcome!!

as stated this is a "friendly rc helicopter community!"

but yeah to be honest £200 will get you a blade cx2... and phoenix simulator. (if u have the cheap e-sky type sim already, you may want to look towards phoenix. yes its quiet a jump in price. but its also a huuge jump in quality and you will benefit from it no end!)
or you may have phoenix already??

the blade cx2 is a living room jobby and you can only fly it on perfectly still days in the garden really! but it will teach you alot and is great fun

    cheers,
    Tom

We are all nice on here

I guess I am biased but I would look for a blade 400 since it comes complete RTF, has a decent 2.4mhz radio and the parts are so cheap its ridiculous. I reckon a used one could be had for £200. I would advise you take someone with you though to check it over and fly it if possible.

      or..........

Ignore me and do what Tom says

With your taste in cars I'd take all the advice you can get

              Thanks guys,

Well i may not be any good but i am bored buzzing around my village hall and now need to get onto something a bit more substantial (the Blade400 is one of my considerations).

It maybe a gay coloured Volvo but its had some surgery and delivers 330bhp - im not a geography teacher

My simulator is this an esky 4chnl sim:
              http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...2BSI%26otn%3D4

I suppose ill learnt he hard way -but i dont intend to fly like i drive - yet lol

I fully appreciate the value of getting some training so will lok into this - is there anyone on the site who comes recommended??

I have an Escort cosworth tucked up in the garage which is last on a long list of very pokey motors!!

Trust me..... learning to fly and flying my 600 brings a much bigger rush and sense of power v control than the car. imagine trying to drive your V70 without a licence on a track with the throttle jammed wide open and no brakes!!!

Oh... and nobody to tell you your driving like a tw*t.

Ticks all the boxes for me my freind!!

Even so, fleet is just a short trip down the M3 from here.

Can anyone tell me if this is worthy of my hard earned sterling?

yup, escort is and will always be a classic - hold onto it fella.

Im about to get the rollbars uprated for better track performance...

Its a money pit sometimes but its close to where i want it to be now.

Looking forward to getting a proper chopper in my life
