I use thumbs because I fly mode 1 and pitch and roll are on different sticks so it's easy. It also leaves fingers free for switches.

Try adding expo first just to confirm unintended input. I run tons of expo on the Rudd as I get terrible interaction without it. Also I find too little expo or none makes the tail feel loose and uncontrollable,but that's just me.Yes the big sigpic is coming back

Thats an idea???. I don't use hardly any expo as I like the heli to do instant stick input, but thinking about it, slight rudder input will make it wonder and go out of shape. Cheers PaddyAlign trex 700x brain 2 BT

It sounds more like you want a deadband on your rudder rather than expo. Expo will reduce the unwanted rudder input, but it won't eliminate it like deadband would.
