Thanks bigpops, your comparison makes much more sense now. I would seriously look at the HiSky to replace my mCPX for the garden as an alternative to a mCPX BL or Trex 150, but I can't take it seriously as a 180 CFX beater! But I can certainly see how it could work better in the garden or other smaller space. The 180 is a bit much for my garden. The tail hold on my 180 is very good actually and the piro compensation is excellent - makes fast moving piros a doodle. I wonder if yours had the infamous early firmware "tail wagging" bug? There's no collective dead band on mine either, in fact I toned it down a bit with an S shaped pitch curve to make it more comfortable. After the very simple servo saver mod and TT clutch, it crashes well too, but obviously not as good as my mCPX in that regard. Only had 3 crashes in 100 flights though, which says more about how well it flies than my own ability. I've crashed my mCPX many times more trying exactly the same moves. Maybe something like the HiSky could be ideal as a high performance garden beater.

@Peterski; which sim are you using for training? I ask as last week - whilst waiting for postie to deliver a couple of spare tail booms for my little Hisky - I succumbed to evilbay and temptation and am now the proud owner of a flybarless 450! It really is a thing of beauty and I'm quite determined to keep it that way.

With the evenings drawing in a decent sim would seem a good way to get myself into some sort of structured training.

I wonder how Buckshots getting on?
