  • Beginner Transmitter setting For Esky/Eflite 400-450

    Hello peeps

Is their a basic transmitter setting in general, for most transmitters? I have a new flysky i6 with the same settings as a dx6i. Ive put settings, but the heli is really twitch lol.

I just want a basic setting for hovering

Not sure if the dx6i is the same, but i think the values are. I keep looking for something, or someone who has put together a list of esky king 4 with a flysky fs i6. But nothing

I tried the settings, but the head speed is too fast on normal mode. Its really still twitchy, any more settings i could try?

Some of those settings look "wrong" to me.

Have you set the heli up properly or just copied settings?

With a flybar heli you need to do it properly.

It's not difficult but it's way to much to type on a phone.

                    Have a read of this

To be honest, most of the settings look OK to me, with a few minor things. First things first - are you flying in "normal" mode or "idle up". You should be flying in normal mode for two reasons

1/. The DR/Expo settings are more suitable for a beginner
2/. The idle up throttle curve is wrong.

The next thing I would suggest is to change your throttle and pitch curves for normal mode, to these :

                      TC : 0,35,70,70,70
                      PC : 30,40,50,75,100

As it is, your linear throttle curve will mean that your collective stick will be changing the motor speed AND blade pitch all the time. That in itself would make the heli a nightmare...

But besides the above "oddness", there's nothing fundamentally wrong with the settings - nothing that will make the heli react wrong.

Your expectations of flying a collective pitch helicopter may be unrealistic though - they're not easy!

Take a read of this : Are RC Helicopters Hard To Fly?

And perhaps consider getting a fixed-pitch (4 channel) heli to begin with ... Something like the Blade mSR / Blade 120SR or Blade 200SRX.

I've flown a Eflite 400, and mastard circuits with that heli. But ive not flown in a long time and never flown a esky king before. The swash moves up and down ok, the only thing that make my head hurt is understanding the gyro.

In which case, this may be simply that the E_sky is not a very good heli The Blade 400 may have simply flown better!?! But like I say, having the collective constantly vary motor power and pitch isn't going to help your cause!
