Even the mcpx v2 could handle a bit of a breeze OK ... here's my old one - watch the tree in the background to gauge the wind!

Looks pretty good, that's about the sort of level I'm at now flying in the garden. I'll have to get used to flying in higher winds though, so far have been avoiding them. Although I was flying in a fairly stiff breeze the other day at the field and it went okay. Just tricky to get used to the general buffeting and transition when turning from head to tail wind. Nearly caught me out a few times.

These micro cp helis are great for learning with. Really enjoy mine.

The mCPX BL just loves the wind, this was the heli I learnt on, took me from my first wobbly hovers all the way to inverted flight and piro flips.
Hope I can get to that level!

Inspired by the "windy" videos I took my mCPX and 130X out yesterday in quite a bit of wind and they both flew okay. Much better than I expected, just needed a high head speed and a quick thumb on the collective!
However my 130X got blown over on the first landing and stripped a tail gear. Not a big deal, but game over for the day and reminded me how fragile its tail is. The mCPX also got blown over a couple of times on landing and kept flying no problem through 6 packs. That's the difference with these 2 helis right there. The 130X is a bit fragile and likely to spend more time on your bench than in the air, while the mCPX just keeps on flying regardless.

In your shoes I would get the mCPX first and see how you get on with flying it. Once you are flying the mCPX confidently, then get the 130X too.
