  • Blade and agility mode!

Ok so I've tried my 200srx in agility mode and pooped myself! So I thought I would get some time on the Nano QX in agility mode and that's ridiculously hard, any settings I could try on my dx6i to slow it down a bit?

    cheers

LOL! Agility mode is what collective pitch is like! Try lowering your dual rates (eg. to 80%) and increasing expo (eg. 20%)

PS. Are you starting in agility mode, or trying to flip into it during flight? .

No always start in agility mode, just the nano is so hard to correct when it starts going

I find the nano-QX in agility mode almost impossible too! Don't worry - collective pitch is nowhere near as bad as that! The 200SRX should be easier though, especially if you lower the DR and increase expo.

You could use 'mix' in your tx so when in flight your heli is in a stable flight mode & when you use cyclic stick it switches into agility mode.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

Dual rates helps slow it down a little overall, it'll make it a bit more gentle in flight, and slow down the maximum roll rates.

Expo has a similar effect, but only around the middle of the sticks. So it makes the helicopter more gentle and easier to control in a hover, while still reacting nicely when you need it to. A little expo is usually a good thing, just be aware that you don't want to add too much.

The above suggestion of 80% rates and 20% expo are a good starting point. You can slow the rates down a little more than that, but if you go too far it just starts to feel sluggish, and can actually be harder to fly.

Binned the 200!! Run 2 cells in Intermediate mode and then took the plunge Advanced Mode! Set the DR to 70% and the Expo to +20% it was a bit windy, I was concentrating on just hovering dropped it a few times but cut the power and got away with it several times just needing to straighten the tail boom, then I thought its time a flip!! Not quite high enough! Only stripped a servo cog!! Will try again when fixed!

Perhaps focus on upright circuits before a flip!

The nQX is my specialist subject!

When I first started flying it in agility mode I had the elevator and aileron D/R at 50% and 30% expo, which I found pretty reasonable after a LOT of practice. At first it was near impossible not to crash and I had to slow down massively compared to safe mode and then build up my speed again from scratch. But I persevered and I've now managed to get the D/R up to 75% still with 30% expo and after about 500 packs I've now finally mastered it! I've always kept the rudder at D/R 100% and 0% expo as it piros fairly slowly anyway. It's the cyclics that are lightning fast.

I tell you, if you can master the nQX in upright flight in agility mode (obviously useless for inverted) then anything else seems like a piece of cake afterward. It's certainly sharpened up my responses no end and the transition to flying my mCPX and 130X was totally painless thanks to this little quad.
