  • Esky0404 35Mhz Transmitter Question

    Hi All,

Yet another question for you if you don't mind...

Is the charger socket on the TX a 'true' charger (ie it will charge NiCd batteries fitted inside the tx) or does it just connect straight to the battery terminals so you can run the tx from a power supply?
It's just that my tx chews through batteries when connected to Phoenix and it would be easier to use an external DC supply while 'training'. Cheaper on the pocket too!

    Thanks in advance

You can take the crystal out of the transmitter when using Phoenix - the batteries last much longer as it's not putting out a signal.

I also use NimH in the tranny which you can charge in situ.
....just not sure if you can use it on Phoenix whilst charging at the same time

Thanks Guy's, I knew you would have the answers.
163Phil, If you don't mind what do you use to charge your NimH batt's and how long do you leave them charging? I'm worried that one can overcharge and damage things. I already have a NiMh charger but it can only handle 4 at a time and takes several hours to charge....

          Cheers
