  • Motors not consistant - Gain Help

Can anyone explain exactly what adjusting the Gain will do to the Heli,, any adverse effects it would or could have? While flying sometimes my heli seems to power up and down whilst hovering with no input, it can rise and fall a good 2ft as the motors power up then down etc, could the gain adjustment have this effect? it does seem a bit better if I start with the thrust trim at min, once airbourne I increase the trim to half way but it is still not good. Any other advice on whay this would happen. It has been said it could be the 4 in one but trying to eliminate all other things before I replace it.

    Thanks for any advice

Could be a number off things... 4in1, motor/s on way out, loose connection somewhere. Gain shouldnt give an effect like what your describing though.

Sounds like you're talking about a contra heli and this is what happens as it has to control the motor speeds for direction control, slowing one blade set against the other. You need to compensate for this with the throttle. It does not sound like there is anything wrong

      Hope that makes sense
