Hi everyone. i am a beginner - I have just received my new copter. I believe that there may be 'beginner' settings on the transmitter. Any help appreciated!!!

Welcome Harry, someone who knows will get back to you soon about your Tx.

what is your experience with RC so far? It may help someone guide you through settings if they know what stage you are at!

This is a fantastic hobby but as you will soon find out highly addictive and expensive too!

        Happy landings.

            Hi Harry,

Take a look at John Salt's website - he covers the 450 DFC RTF quite well. His ebooks also give some good "beginner" settings. The TX that comes with the RTF package is a rebranded Futaba 6J (with an Align sticker on the front)

A few years back, a 450 was the de-facto entry level machine. These days there are other options but many still believe a 450 is the best place to start. Certainly the Align 450 DFC RTF is a solid, good first heli.

I would also seriously suggest taking a look at the 10-day learning to fly course on John Salt's website. (How To Fly RC Helicopters)

Consider getting a simulator (Phoenix, RealFlight or AccuRC) too!

Hi Harry. I learnt on a trex 450, my first model. It's a great piece of kit but you will need to take things slowly as it can all go wrong pretty quickly!! There are lots of things that can help you at the beginning. Forums are fantastic. Sims (Phoenix etc). Lessons, clubs, etc.

good luck and hope you love it.
