  • T rex 450 help needed

    Im struggling to keep my T rex 450 hovering and understand that i need to set throttle to a fixed speed so only the pitch sets the hover, my radio is a JR X3810 ADT can anyone advise best way to set up.
    Today's outlook is fine for flying.
    • Spektrum DX18 gen2, Phoenix Sims, Align MR25XP.
    • Blade Nano, mCP X, 130x, Blade 180, Mini T 450se
    • Trex 250dfc Gpro, Trex 500EFL Gpro.
    • Trex 600E Gpro DFC, Trex 600NSP now Gpro, DFC, Redline 56
    • Flickr Through My Pictures.

    Put a flat line throttle curve in the flight mode you use to flyin - if you only fly in normal mode, then put a flat line in all but the first throttle point, which needs to be zero in order to shut the motor off.

      What sort of percentage do i set it at 0% to begin with then i have 1,2,3,H that requires %

        That kinda depends what model you've got, which motor and what pinion.

        Assuming you're using the kit motor and the recommended pinion then you should be ok with 0,85,85.. But you can raise or lower that to suit your needs.

            Not sure what you mean by kit motor but the motor im using is brushless taken of my Zoom along with servos etc. Today 05:11 PM
            I was assuming you bought a T-Rex kit and used the motor that came with it.

            I don't know whether a motor from a Zoom is upto the job (someone else should).
            You need to know what the KV of your motor is. Then you can calculate the headspeed with a variety of pinions and throttle percentages.

            KV is the rpm/volt of the motor.
