  • Couldn't resist

Wa-hay, my spankin new b400 turned up late last night, looked good in the box, now being a newb and still waiting for pheonix to turn up, I just couldn't resist charging the battery and having a quick go in the garden, (just to try a little hover mind). MY GO WHAT A RUSH. first few attempts just managed a 2 inch hop. next few minuites £40's worth of damage. but chuffin worth it, so the next question is i know i can order the parts from those great lads at fast lad, but does anyone know where i could pick up the parts in cornwall or near as. just want to put it back together for the weekend as the club I'd like to join meets this weekend.
    Damage:-
    main shaft.
    main rotor blade grip
    spindle feathering shaft
    stripped out servo
    stripped out servo arm
    blades main and rotor
I know i should have waited for the simulator but what big kid would lol, and like i said it was bloody worth it.

Bad luck. Replace the servos with metal geared ones. Good luck with souring the e-flite parts, it seems to be a hit and miss affair in my experience.

Fast lads , midlands all do next day delivery or normal delivery takes 2 days so its upto you which and where you get them from ... I used both the above and cannot praise the sevice you recieve enough from these to retailers ... Good luck with ya next flight and dont forget Phoenix ... On a side night if you are thinking of flying in public land or at a club ... make sure you have insurance ... Saves a world of hurt if you hit someone

Hope you get your parts quickly - I know how frustrating it is waiting. Just got my Belt CP back together today
I guess I'll have to wait abit longer to get a report on how good the b400 is!
Glad it's not put you off though

Silly boy, see why we said practice on phoenix first, tut, tut, tut.

Oh well at least you can laugh about it and your still raring to go.

I think at this rate you and you local dealer will soon develop a deep and meaningful relationship.

Just take it easy and don't rush mate, when your sim arrives and you start practicing for real, your see why the maiden flight of your poor B400 ended in tragedy

Best of luck, but for Christ's sake mend your heli and leave it on the table while you cram some practice on the PC.

got that bit sorted, the bits i need to order at fast lad are out of stock, so at least i havent even got the temptation to fly it again, which meens plenty of sim time, till the patrts arrive. lol

Try Channel 4 models in Bournemouth mate. They have a mixture of Blade/Twister storm parts in stock as I picked some up today. The feathering shafts for the Blade are difficult to come by but the Twister one is exactly the same. Ring John or Jamie on 01202 789009.

A little bird told me the parts are the same as the twister 3d I cant confirm that fact but it's what I'm being told. Can someone else here confirm twister bits fit the blade?

Almost every part except the main frames are the same. Basically the same helicopter but different branding/distributer.

Some shops are having trouble getting hold of feathering shafts for the blade but the Twister ones will fit.

almost every part yes but strangley enough the feathering shaft is different!! dont try and fit a twister shaft it has small threaded ends and nuts and is a right PITA to fit.
