the nQX is a great toy for ripping around the house, I have never tried it outside I do plan to, compared to the 200srx not a lot in it, I find the 200srx is better visually as its bigger and you can clearly see when you've bought the tail round were the nQX turns into a black blur the further away you get, I have to say the nQX and the Sim were key, if you can tame the nQX mate your more than ready to get the 200srx out!

The one thing that struck me on the 200 is you have to cancel any moves you make or it will continue in that direction, and I cant believe how easy it to get some serious altitude, If I get in a flap I usually spin it around to nose forward and tail to me and bring it down backwards & slowly

I want to grab an indoor one also. Got one of them basic ones you get from a toy store. Just flaps about and goes where it wants to. Might have to look into one of them

That's why the 200SRX is a good fixed pitch training for collective pitch as this is how all CP helicopters react. The effect of sefl-stabilising when you let go of the sticks is a co-axial trait that doesn't translate to larger helis. The 200SRX(*) and the mSRX are the only small fixed pitch helis I know that fly "properly" in this respect.

(*) I think I'm right in saying this only happens with the 200SRX in expert mode. beginner mode should be more co-ax like I believe?

Sounds great and glad it's working out for you.
Actually I jumped the gun this afternoon and decided to give my Blade 130X Red Bull a proper flight out on the field. Decided to just go for it and it ended well (I'll start a new thread on that one). Also took the nQX along for a couple of warm up flights beforehand, which has been key to my progress all along. It flies really well outside providing it's pretty calm. You should take it along with you when you go out with the 200 SRX. It gets your thumbs moving before you start flying your more fragile heli!
