  • When is it absolutely necessary to replace HBFP main motor ?

    Hello,

My stock HBFP has reduced power, probably implying main motor wearing out. But it is still ok for practice.
    I read in another forum:
"These motors shouldn't be used up until the day they die. When the brushes wear, the brush arms provide contact. When these wear, they go past the commutator and connect with each other. The motor shorts and fries your 4-in-1."

When is it absolutely necessary to replace main motor ?

    Thank You.

Are you sure they would do that? would have thought you'd know and need to replace them long before that happened.

I know that main motor has worn (has only 20 hours) but can still use it. So is it safe to use this motor, for say another 5-10 hours ?
