Hello, me again!
Nearly a year on and I've finally had a bit more time to look at this (it's been busy, I've moved house amongst other things!)
I think I've worked out what the problem was.
Apart from the Gyro, the front two servos on the heli were wired the wrong way around and the heli is now far more responsive and doesn't pirouette at all whilst sat on the carpet!
I'm going to try and fly it over the weekend once I've programmed the controller.
I'll let you all know how I get on!
